The Experience

Because babies rarely follow schedules, birth photography works a little differently than a traditional session. Once you're on my calendar, I remain on call beginning at 37 weeks until your baby arrives. When labor begins, we'll stay in communication so I can join your birth space at the appropriate time. My goal is to blend into the background, documenting the emotions, connections, and strength during your baby's arrival.

What’s Included:

FAQ

What is birth photography?

Birth photography is about preserving the moments you may not remember and the ones you'll never want to forget. My role is to quietly and respectfully document your journey as it unfolds, allowing you to remain fully present.
From labor to delivery and those first precious moments together, every image is captured with intention.
Whether your birth takes place at home, a birth center, or a hospital, I approach every experience with sensitivity, respect, and support for your birth preferences and care team.

What if I go into labor in the middle of the night?

Once you're on my calendar, I remain on call beginning at 37 weeks and am available whenever your baby decides it's time to arrive—day or night.

When should I contact you during labor?

We'll discuss your birth preferences and communication plan before your due date. Typically, I ask clients to keep me updated as labor progresses so I can be prepared and arrive at the appropriate time.

Do you photograph everything?

No. Every birth story is documented with sensitivity and respect.
My focus is on the emotions, connections, strength, and moments that tell your story. While some families choose to have the actual birth photographed, others prefer more modest documentation. We will discuss your comfort level beforehand, and I will always honor your preferences.

What is my labor is long?

Birth is beautifully unpredictable. Whether labor lasts a few hours or much longer, your collection includes continuous coverage throughout active labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.

Will you share my birth photos online?

Never without your permission.
